OP, I used online dating for about three years, and most of the people I met were more or less as described.ive been single for a long time so im trying to find free online dating sites that work.
That can hold true for pretty much any dating site.
Plentyoffish dating forums are a place to meet singles and get dating advice or share dating experiences etc.
I've heard A LOT of bad reviews that POF is full of attention seeking girls and very few are serious about casual sex, relationships, dating, etc.
and that they ignore and delete a majority of messages from guys.
That most the women on POF just start profiles to boost their ego and either ignore or belittle guys who approach them.
I've also heard POF delete posts and forums complaining about the site itself. I am sure like any dating site, Plenty of Fish has had its share of success stories as well as its share of failures.
POF also offers an upgrade for as much as .68 if you want to be highly featured.
The last time I looked more than 171,000 users were online. While I have (at the time of writing) been single for close to 8 months – my core motivation for being on POF was curiosity.
I am new to the area and definitely new to the online dating scene. Looking for testimonials from people who have done online dating. Be realistic on your league, don't fall for too good to be true or a fantasy. In my case it took over 7 months and I had to wade through some toads Mr not right for me to find him. Even people that eventually found a significant other from POF might have had many unsuccessful dates / meetings. IF the point of contacting someone is to find out about them, why would you even consider this as a question to help you do that?
For instance if someone meets you, do they often turn out to be different than on this site?? But I have been with my boyfriend for 10 months and we met right on here. Or relatively few positive replies from their initial emails. It can work for women, not to sure about working for men though.
After being inundated with “you should check it out” countless times by so many of my friends, I decided – “sure, ill check it out”.
