This third edition contains some significant revisions that I hope will be an improvement over the previous two editions.
MOTIVATION FOR THIS THIRD EDITIONRevising a book for the second time requires some motivation. First, readers continue to show an interest in a comprehensive treatment of MC item development and item response validation.
For example, the site cannot determine your email name unless you choose to type it.
Allowing a website to create a cookie does not give that or any other site access to the rest of your computer, and only the site that created the cookie can read it.
This book is intended for anyone who is seriously interested in designing and validating multiple-choice test items that measure understanding and the application of knowledge and skills to complex situations, such as critical thinking and problem solving.
