Grindr, as a 'dating app' for gay and bisexual men, tends to veer toward the 'casual' approach when it comes to meeting a potential mate. And this is something Ollie wishes to dispel when it comes to the public image of gay dating. Now, Australian cleaning guru Shannon Lush has shared her advice on how often you really need to be stripping the bed covers...
Her preferred method of cleaning is the foot stomp method - where you place the doona in a bath, cover it in body-temperature water - 37 degrees celsius - and add two or three squirts of shampoo.
Ms Lush also told the site how you know when it's time to trade in your old pillows.'If you hold your arm out and drop your pillow over your forearm widthways and it sags, then it’s time to buy a new pillow,' she said.'Ideally, pillows should be replaced when they’re lumpy, saggy, smelly or discoloured – the time between buys depends on level of usage, how much you sweat, how often it gets washed and so on - best to stick to the above visual and nasal clues.' - Place the doona in a bath, cover it in body temperature water (37C) and add two or three squirts of shampoo.- With clean feet, stomp away to your heart’s content.-Empty the bath, fill it again with clean body temperature water and stomp again.- Empty, refill again with clean body temperature water and allow it to soak through the doona.- The shampoo can be used on all doona fibres because it won’t dry the fibres out or make them brittle.- After rinsing, thread on it again to squeeze out as much moisture as possible before hanging it out to dry in a U shape, using lots of pegs.
Surely that's not what we have fought for as a community! I've been going to gay bars for the last 10 years but never met anyone.
The chances of meeting anyone you want to be with at all is so slim, but in a bar it's even slimmer.
''A lot of people didn't like that,' Ollie recalled, speaking exclusively to Mail Online. I now see myself as a gay man, but I will forever be trying to help the bisexual community.'Ollie's position as a public figure, experiencing his own sexuality struggle under the media spotlight, has led him along a new path; and the Made In Chelsea veteran is now turning his hand to tech entrepreneurship.'Now I'm taking everything I learnt from my own experience and using it to create a more positive space for people when it comes to online gay dating,' he explained, referring to his new business venture.
'Some see being bisexual as a cop out, or greedy, or the easy path to take. Ollie has launched an app - Chappy - which is, essentially, the anti-Grindr.'In no way are we slagging off Grindr or saying that sex is bad! But we are giving the gay community another option,' he elaborated.
